Small Angels Rescue will participate in Volunteer Frederick's BIG Sweep on Saturday, April 25, by picking up trash along Crestwood Boulevard in exchange for donations. In the first seven years of this event, more than 6,000 volunteers from Frederick County nonprofits have raised $277,000 for their groups and collected 115 tons of trash and recyclables, along with 3,274 tires.

Last year, Small Angels' Critters against Litter team picked up nearly a dozen bags of trash along Thomas Johnson Road. The team raised $3,110 ($283 per team member) and placed second in fund-raising among the county teams participating in the event.

Small Angels will use all proceeds raised through The BIG Sweep for our lifesaving programs for rescued animals in the greater D.C. area.
