Hi,  I'm Alex Stagliano!  I am a thirteen year old girl and I will become a bat mitzvah in June.  I turned thirteen on April 6th. I am raising money for people in Africa with AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis for my bat mitzvah project.. I have chosen this cause, as there is a great need and many people in Africa are not as fortunate as we are in the US.  AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria kill 6 million people each year - 16,000 people each day. The global fight against these diseases demands the support of international leaders, who must commit billions of dollars to meet the price of a comprehensive response. In 2007, the annual cost was a total $20 billion for AIDS, plus another $3-5 billion for TB (tuberculosis) and malaria. But governments cannot win this fight alone. This is a challenge that needs all of us so please donate to this cause.
