Description: The Wildlife Care Center is a private, nonprofit organization providing for the rescue and rehabilitation of injured, sick and orphaned wildlife. All services are provided free of charge to those who bring in creatures in need. Started in 1969 by a handful of volunteers (incorporated as the S.P.C.A. of Broward County Inc.) the Center has grown into the largest modern, professionally staffed hospital of its kind in the State of Florida admitting in excess of 14,000 animals a year.
Mission: To rescue, rehabilitate, and release native wildlife that has been harmed or displaced; to treat and place certain needy domestic, exotic and farm animals; and to educate the public toward coexistence with all animals.
