I'm Alexis and I am one of the 2012-2013 co-captains for Lake Washington Dance Team. This is my third and last year on the team and I am so glad I am getting the opportunity to help others through this program and do what I love at the same time, dancing. I think it's amazing that our team and Washington State Dance continues to strive and help others outside of just competiting and performing for our school. 

All of us are affected and inspired by our coach Lindsey Beck and we are so proud and amazed by her strength and her story. Please watch this video!

It shows more about our wonderful coach, our story, and why our team has become to inspired to be involved in Drea's Dream. Through this program and our event on August 24th, we hope to raise money and awareness for a dance therapy clinic in Washington State. It would be so amazing to know that our team is directly helping people in need who would love to dance, like I love to.

We are hoping that many teams and supporters will come to our football field on August 24th to raise awareness and money our cause, and you're invited too! Anything helps, even an encouraging word or showing support for kids and people who don't have all the freedoms and liberties to do what they want and love. I am thankful for my abilities and the opportunity to be on this team and I want to give hope to those who aren't as lucky. With many teams attending, it gives us the opportunity to work together for one cause, with one goal in mind; to help the community and raise money for this wonderful cause.
