Diabetes was my life.

For 30 years I've dealt with Type 1 diabetes, or let it deal me. After my sister was diagnosed at age 25 with type 1, Diabetes Sisters was recommended to her and I was introduced to a whole new type of support system: one that worked for me!

Now, pregnant with my first child, I appreciate more than effort what having a resource like Diabetes Sisters can mean to everyone. Whether its questions, answers or inspiration, sometimes you just need a hand.

I encourage anyone who has found that support system to contribute back in whatever way, shape or form works best for you. And if you haven't found one yet, or have the ability to support others, I'd appreciate your donation so I can give back to this organization a bit of what they have given to me.
