THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
Picture at right is from refuel stop around mile 13 in Wellesley with Phil, Nic, Cam and Alexander.
Monday was a beautiful day with a mostly helpful tail wind. I felt much better prepared than I did for my first in 08 - although the result wasn't too much different - it was a personal best.
I high-fived at least a few hundred people and hopefully created alot of awareness about autism. I forgot what a parade it is - with several people offering me beers and the smell of italian sausage cooking and of course the two 70 year old men (one had a shirt on that said happy birthday), the man with the grass skirt and the guy dressed as a hamburger that I ran with for a while.
It was definitely sheer will and a pep talk from a complete stranger that got me through the last five miles but I did not give up. The struggle was nothing compared to what families living with autism have to face. I do not know the total yet but it looks like our small team raised over $15,000 :)
