Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

I will be participating in the Lupus Walk as part of the Lupus Alliance of Upstate New York on September 13, 2009 in Cheektowaga, NY.  I am doing this as a joint effort with my family and friends as team April Flowers, in loving memory of my mom (April 7, 1952-November 2, 2006), April Ann Walf.  My mom lived with lupus for 15 years.  She, like many others who have lupus, left us much too soon.  As such, this walk is so important to me, my family and all of her many friends.  If you were blessed to know my mom, you know that she was truly one of a kind, and always smiling.

This is the second year that we have created a team and are participating in this event.  I want to thank everyone again for their generosity and support last year, which helped our team come in second place and raise $1405.00.  We are looking forward to supporting the efforts my mom was involved in for better understanding, diagnoses, and treatment of lupus by partcipating in this event again this year.
