Dear friends, family and loved ones,
On May 6th, I will be participating in the COTS walk, which raises money for COTS (The Committee on Temporary Shelter) in Burlington, VT. COTS provides services to single adults, families and veterans who are experiencing homelessness.
This year, I am serving at the COTS Family Shelters as an AmeriCorps, so I work closely with these homeless families and children every day. COTS needs your support!!!
"This October, 141 school children were homeless in Chittenden County, and an additional 48 children under the age of five were either living in a COTS shelter or on the COTS Family Shelter's waiting list. That's nearly 200 homeless children under the age of 18 in our community. COTS is currently able to serve 25 families between three family shelters, and served 107 families in the 2011 fiscal year. Every dollar makes a difference. You can make a difference for homeless families, individuals, and veterans in our community."
Every little bit helps-even $5.
Thank you so much for your generous support! Please spread the word! Share this link with your loved ones!
Love, Alicia! :)
