Playwrights Theatre of New Jersey
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!
As some of you already know, I grew up in scenic Jersey and spent much of my first 24 years doing theater in various forms. One of my earliest teachers ended up being one of my employers fifteen years later and I still look to him as a reminder of why theater is important and why I care about it. John Pietrowski is currently the Artistic Director of PTNJ. I'm starting this page as a small token of thanks for the opportunities he's given me and everything he's taught me, and because I think the work he's doing is consistently high quality and an invaluable contribution to his communities (NJ, young playwrights, the larger theatrical world).
All I'm asking for is $5, though you can of course give more if you want. It's like the "give up your latte for charity" thing - forgo your mocha-frappa-latte one day this week, and give $5 here instead. Odds are that if you can afford the high-speed internet connection you're using to view this page, you can spare a mere $5. (You can read more of my rant about $5 donations
here.)
Even if you don't want to make a donation here, you should find out more about
PTNJ and also about whatever small professional theaters are in your area. Make a donation, buy a ticket, take a class.... just find some way to participate.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure.
