Thank you for visiting my 2010 Walk for Farm Animals fundraising page! You should totally donate to this page not only because it's my birthday on September 3rd and you want to do something nice for me but also because NON-HUMAN ANIMALS ARE INCREDIBLY AWESOME.

As you may know, I just got back from a cross Canada trip. On my journey I saw many empty slaughter trucks or ghost trucks, as I call them. Once, when parked way behind a truck stop, I heard some ghastly noises; cries of terror, rage, frustration. Part of me wanted to shut the door and ignore the noises but I knew I had a responsibility to stand up and bear witness. With a camera in hand, I approached the truck gingerly and when I finally met their eyes and saw their red lash marks and rashes I burst into tears. As I met each one of their eyes I was overcome with emotion; each set of eyes was full of unique sentiment, some pleading, some resigned, some blinded with terror, or sick with disgust. I prayed for those unfortunate pigs and the billions of other animals that are slaughtered every year worldwide and promised that I will always speak for them and work to expose the grave injustice.

Along with other outreach work (pamphletting, crafting etc), this year I'm participating in the Walk for Farm Animals to help Farm Sanctuary raise awareness about the realities of factory farming. The annual Walk for Farm Animals helps fund Farm Sanctuary's education and advocacy efforts.

I dedicate my walk to those pigs and to some other fine creatures that have touched my heart: Kevin & Harry (safe at a sanctuary), Bambi, Tiko, Luna, PeeWee... and more whose names I forgot to ask.

Over the last 2 Walks I've raised $580 for Farm Sanctuary! On September 22, I reached $1000 total. Please give what you can and help me raise as much as possible for the billions of animals who suffer needlessly every year.
