Mission: Allergy & Asthma Network Mothers of Asthmatics (AANMA), is the nationwide community-based nonprofit health organization dedicated to eliminating morbidity and mortality due to asthma and allergies through education, advocacy, community outreach, and research. As the consumer voice, AANMA:-- Delivers timely, accurate, and practical information-- Links patients and families to decision makers within the health-care and pharmaceutical industries, schools, and government-- Conducts and stimulates research on behalf of patients and their families-- Increases patient and public awareness through educational resources-- Is a vehicle for improving patient access to specialty care-- Encourages the support of scientific research related to the causes and cures of asthma
