On Wednesday, April 7^th, friends, admirers, and supporters from around the state came together at Colby College to honor the work of four notable Maine philanthropists.  Unsurprisingly to anyone who has the privilege of knowing her, among those honored that day was Hardy Girls Healthy Women’s own board president, Tobi Schneider, as Central Maine Philanthropist of the Year.  We could think of no act more appropriate to honor Tobi’s wholehearted dedication to supporting the culture of philanthropy than to create a Scholarship Fund in her honor.  

Each year, more than 75% of the girls who participate in Hardy Girls’ programs do so on scholarship.  Your support for the creation of the Tobi Schneider Scholarship Fund will ensure that any and all girls who want to participate in Hardy Girls programs can. 

I feel that I have come full circle.  My passion to help others, our state, and my country is epitomized in the work of Hardy Girls.  We are teaching girls who will be the new generation to be community activists and future community philanthropists.
