Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I am honored to be running a 10K race to raise money and awareness for Myeloma and Bone Cancer research.
I had already signed on to run this race for another wonderful cause, KW Cares, a fantastic charity within Keller Williams that reaches out and supports fellow KW associates in times of physical and emotional need or through natural disasters. It is an excellent cause that I am grateful to be connected to.
Then my dear friend, Brian Goldman, a childhood friend from Santa Monica lost his father last week. Brian called me in the afternoon on Tuesday, September 1, to tell me that his sweet father, Roy Goldman, had passed away that morning.
Roy Goldman was diagnosed with the debilitating and painful Multiple Myeloma just 4 weeks before his passing. Roy was one of the original Muscle Beach bodybuilders in Venice. He was an advocate of natural health, a sometimes actor and a very proud father and family man.
Some facts about Myeloma:
--The disease progresses at different rates depending on the patient and though it is often treatable, at this time there is no known cure.
--Approximately 1,000 people worldwide are diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma every day.
--The average survival rate is approximately 5-6 years, depending on the level of the disease state.
The Mission Statemen of the Institute for Myeloma and Bone Cancer Research: To develop new and cutting-edge therapies to improve the quality of life and longevity of patients who suffer from these catastrophic diseases.

Thank you for reading about my fundraising for both KW Cares and the Institute for Myeloma and Bone Cancer Research.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
I hope to meet my goal by October 1! Please support me!
All my love,
Allison
