It’s that time of year again… J I'm back... ready to run for a good cause and very excited to be teaming up with the Phoenix Children's Hospital's "Miracles in Motion" program again. Last year I raised $1,620 with the help and support of family and friends.
I am running the P.F. Chang's ½ Marathon on January 17, 2010 to raise money for the Hospital!!! I am privileged to be running in honor of Haley.
Hayley is 9 and she was diagnosed with Diamond Blackfan Anemia when she was 4 weeks old. Diamond Blackfan Anemia is a rare blood disease where the person does not make any red blood cells. It affects only 700 people in the World. Hayley has required a blood transfusion every 3 weeks since she was 4 weeks old. When she was 7 they found out her body had stopped making white cells (Aplastic Anemia) and she needed a Bone Marrow transplant.
She was in the hospital for almost 6 weeks for her Bone Marrow Transplant. She is currently going once a month for follow up visits but has not needed a blood transfusion since October 29th, 2007.

As part of my commitment to the Miracles in Motion team, I have promised to raise $1500.00 by Dec 1st.
All of the money donated will be used to provide Hope, Healing and the best Healthcare for children and their families.
