Alyssa Grace Lee is a beautiful 3 year old. She has struggled with delays since she was 6 months old. Alyssa was always a happy child, but never learned to crawl or walk. She was diagnosed with a muscle disorder at the age of 1, but then she began losing her language skills. Right before her third birthday, she began having unusual breathing patterns, hand-clapping and wringing increased, and functional hand-use decreased. On May 3, 2011 Alyssa was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. Our beautiful girls are called, Silent Angels.
After attending the International Rett Syndrome Foundation's conference in Boston, we were given a great deal of hope! Hope for a treatment, hope for her future, and hope for a CURE!!!! There are so many wonderful advancements and studies being conducted, but none of it can happen without funding!
The Strollathon is the signature fundraiser for Rett Syndrome Research. How can you help? You can join our team and help fundraise. We would love for you to join us in Macon, Georgia on October 8th, but you can be a team member without attending. Simply commit to help fundraise. You can also help by donating on this website. Finally, you can help by passing this website on to family and friends to ask them to help support Alyssa's Angels!
Alyssa is our "Silent Angel" but this is YOUR OPPORTUNITY to be "Alyssa's Angel". Help raise money for Rett Syndrome Reserach and be Alyssa's voice, Alyssa's hope, Alyssa's Angel!
