Hearts Reunited - 2010
Hypoplastic Right Hearts strives to educate, advocate, support, and survive. Hearts Reunited in Houston, 2010 builds on our legacy of educating parents and supporting familes to be strong advocates for their own health care in the midst of a confusing and terrifying medical crisis. Please help us continue in that mission.
The first Hearts United happened in June, 2008, in Bloomington, MN. Our guest speakers were Roger Breitbart and Nick Zerwas who covered two sides of Congenital Heart Disease.
Dr. Breitbart shared results from the first long term Fontan study, a study that is directly relevant to our children and their life expectancy and expected quality of life. Nick shared his experiences on the earliest frontiers of medical science. Though most children born like him before the 1990s have not survived to adulthood, Nick has thrived in spite of his heart because of his great spirit and attitude.
Your support helps us host new conferences and make and distribute DVDs to the families who cannot afford to travel. Please help us help ourselves, our children, and each other.
