Amanda Bassett
Last year I finished the LA Marathon in the pouring rain... My ankles were cut open and bleeding, and I was beyond cold.
But i kept moving because finishing what I started wasn't about me. It was about the abused, neglected, and abandoned kids in LA, Orange County, and Riverside who deserve a loving, stable home.
It's 26.2 Miles to find Support, Hope, advocacy, Resources, Encouragement, & LOVE.
Its attempting the impossible to discover the possible, a home for every child.
I'll be participating in the LA Marathon on behalf of Child S.H.A.R.E (www.childshare.org), a nonprofit agency that helps solve the solution for every beat up, bruised, and abandon child.
To date, Child S.H.A.R.E. has provided stability to over 2.700 children, has recruited over 900 families to open their homes and their hearts, and has crushed the national adoption rate by providing families that are adopting children at double the rate of the state system... all at a fraction of the cost. In fact, Child S.H.A.R.E. families are consistently honored, featured and recognized throughout the country as models of healthy foster parenting.
So please consider supporting me as I push myself beyond my physical limits to a cause that's more then worth my blood sweat and tears.
LET"S FIND A CHILD A HOME!
