A non-profit 501 (c)(3) education organization that provides business role models to teach JA’s renowned financial literacy programs to grades K-12 ensuring that every child in Maryland has a fundamental understanding of the free enterprise system. This year JA reached more than 23,000 young people in over 165 schools by mobilizing more than 2,400 business role model volunteers. JA BizTown, our 10,000 sq. ft. interactive mini city teaches students first hand what it takes to create a business, produce a newspaper, supervise employees, hold elected offices and earn and manage money, credit and debt.
