On September 27th, I am going to spend my Saturday (starting at 7:30 A.M.!) helping to build a home for a family in need. This event counts towards participation in the U.W. "Day of Caring"; however, the PW Women's Council team decided to challenge ourselves even further. This unique Day of Caring event is participation in a Habitat for Humanity "Build-a-Thon". This event is an accelerated build, requiring many helping hands, in order to provide shelter within a matter of days, instead of months. All volunteers are also committed to raising pledges, to help raise the funds needed to purchase the building materials for the homes.
We need to collect pledges towards our Build-A-Thon team!!
Please help out if you can! Just a little bit of help from everyone can make something great happen. I’m very excited to give a little bit of help on Saturday in order to output an entire home for a deserving family. Your donation is guaranteed to be appreciated by the grateful families helped out by the Habitat for Humanity volunteers :)
