Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary and the Grand Rapids Griffins are hosting their 3rd Annual Pups and Pucks Fall Walk-a-thon to benefit the dogs in need at Mackenzie's. Come join the 2010-11 season Grand Rapids Griffins players and coaches, with out without a dog, as they walk our rescued dogs in an effort to raise awareness and funds for Mackenzie's. There will be live music and a BBQ dinner as well as many fun family activities, including hay rides, petting zoo and arts and crafts. Don't forget to stop by the silent auction, there are a lot of cool items up for grabs at this years event! Proceeds will supports Mackenzie's Mission to provide and find homes for abused, abandoned and neglected dogs; spay/neuter rescued dogs to stop the cycle of unwanted litters; assist in public education for the betterment of our local animal community and to maintain the highest standards of care for the animals, including veterinary care.
