Dear Basset Lovers,
Meet Trooper. If you have ever heard the saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words." and was not sure what exactly it meant, now you do. Just look at him. This poor Basset Hound was picked up as a stray by the Harris County Animal Shelter. We named him Trooper because he has had the courage and strength to survive this hideous neglect and abuse beyond all odds.
You can clearly see that his rehabilitation will be long and difficult – but Basset Buddies Rescue of Texas is determined to give him the second chance that he deserves. He is emaciated, has a severe case of sarcoptic mange, suffers from dental disease, and is also heartworm positive. Not to mention he is emotionally drained and has been suffering from not being loved for quite some time.
Trooper will require extensive medical care and we are asking for your help with his rehabilitation. If it was not for your compassion, Basset Buddies would not be able to save dogs like Trooper. This poor boy's fate would have surely been euthanasia if a volunteer had not stepped in and pulled him out of the shelter. Now we need everyone to pull together and donate to his cause. Any donation will be greatly appreciated and will not go unnoticed.
Thank you for visiting Trooper's fundraising page!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Trooper would also like to send his thanks and slobbery kisses to the following people that have also aided in his journey to becoming a healthy hound: Nyal Walker, Pat & Brill Breivogel, Cordelia & Joe Bays, Lee Midyett, Debra Holdcraft-Bach, Julia & Leo Mock, David & Kim Renevier, Nancy Harantcavage, Gary & BJ Porter & Charlie, Otis, Phelps, & Zoey, Richard & Helena Poist, Ronald & Diane Surman, and Elena Martinez & Memphis.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
Slobbery Kisses,
Basset Buddies Rescue of Texas
