As we cycle through Africa we would like to raise funds for The Campaign for Female Education  (CAMFED).  This is an international aid organization that promotes education for African girls.  The trip itself is entirely self-financed, and 100% of your donations will go directly to CAMFED.  If you are a UK taxpayer, you can donate in GBP through our JustGiving site and an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Experts agree that educating girls is one of the most cost-effective ways of alleviating poverty.  CAMFED believes in empowering locals by providing them with the resources to bring about change.  

Here's how your money can be used:

• $10/month can ensure a vulnerable girl completes her secondary education
• $15/ month can train a young person in secretarial skills, sewing or IT at a vocational center
• $15 can provide basic necessities such as food and clothing for a child left vulnerable by the aids crisis
• $100 can provide educational resources including books and sports equipment for a rural school
• $125 can provide a rural woman with a micro-loan so that she can set up her own business in her community

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts for CAMFED.
