Thanks for helping me raise money for CureSearch National Childhood Cancer Foundation.  CureSearch raises funds for childhood cancer research for the Children's Oncology Group, the world's largest cooperative cancer research organization. CureSearch and COG are committed to conquering childhood cancer through scientific discovery and compassionate care.

I'm running the America's Finest City half marathon on August 16th, 2009.  This will be my first half marathon.   All of the funds that are raised here, and through any offline donations will go directly to finding a cure for childhood cancer.  Many of you know that my daughter, Madeleine, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at the age of four months.  Madeleine has endured eight rounds of chemotherapy and three major surgeries.  Madeleine still has cancer, but is currently doing well off treatment.  So many children have lost their battle with cancer, and so many more continue to fight.  Chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery are not cures, but rather battles that can be won or lost in the war.  Let's find the cure, and end the war for good.
