The plan for the polar plunge is as follows:
Friday night 2/26 is the pasta dinner provided by Mazellas. I will pass out t-shirts, wristbands, and sweatshirts and ask that waivers be signed
Location is St Matthew School in the old gym. 1307 Lincolnshire Drive Champaign
6:00 if you are working for service hours
6:30 we will begin serving dinner after prayer
Saturday 2/27 is the plunge
Location is Lake of the Woods Mahomet and parking is always an issue so please try to carpool if possible
11:15 if you are working for service hours
11:30 no later than 11:45 if you are plunging only
If you do not plunge and work only on Saturday you will receive 2 hours of service time
I will explain details on Friday night at the school. I also have two speakers coming from the Special Olympics and listening to their presentation is another part of service hours.
Please feel free to include anyone on this email that you think would like to come on Friday night and/or plunge.
Looking forward to seeing all of you on Friday and Saturday.
GO TEAM LARKIN!!!
Aim
One of my biggest hopes with the plunge is for our children to understand and love all human beings with special needs. To meet more people and children that, like Larkin, may not be included in all aspects of life. Understanding, loving kindness and more importantly taking the time to know the person and look past differences.

This will mark the 5th year for Team Larkin!!! and my 11th year of participating in this amazing event.
2010 Team Larkin would like to see all of our children involved!! So spread the word. Tell all your friends. Tell your classmates. I will once again have Team Larkin t-shirts for our plungers, wrist bands and sweatshirts.
This year kids from St. Matthew, Holy Cross and St Thomas More are joining in the fun!! The more the merrier!! Have your kids make their own group within us to plunge!!!
Larkin nor the Special Olympics know a stranger. Come join us and see how amazing Special Olympians are and how our "typical" kids can make a difference.
The goal is for all plungers to try and raise $75 each. Follow the link below to Larkin's Team page provided by the Special Olympics. It's not necessary for the kids to raise the money but we feel that it is important for them to feel a part of the entire process. They can collect on their own and they can also send out an email message with the link to Larkin's page below. They can build their own fundraising page by joining Team Larkin and then follow the directions given on the site. Any questions or problems?? AmyArmstrong67@gmail.com
