Amy Cardillo's Fundraising Page
Recently one of my closest and dearest friends was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. She has begun her battle against what has become known as the "OC". She is one of the most caring and sincere people I know. She has been, and continues to be, an amazingly strong woman. I continue to admire her strength more and more everyday.
Although Ovarian Cancer is rare, it is the 5th leading cause of cancer realated deaths among women ages 35-74. There is a great need of funding to aide in the reasearch of early detection, treatment, and most importantly, finding a cure. That is why on Sunday October 4, 2009 we will be walking in the 15th Annual Support-a-Walk in honor of our dear friend Kim. We will be walking as "Team Branda" and invite everyone to join us by going to supportconnection.org. The walk will take place at FDR State Park (Route 202 off the Taconic State Pkwy). It is a 3 mile walk with pre-walk activities starting at 9am. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony to kick off the walk at 10am. All funds raised will go to help in the fight against Breast and Ovarian Cancer.
Please help us in raising money for this great cause. Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts.
Thank you for your support and please forward this to anyone else you know that may want to join in the fight against cancer.
