Many of you know the importance of Camp Happy Days to my life.  Donating to our cause enables these kids to be normal and experience the joys of life for a full week.  They can go parasailing, see special events, have team and personal challenges, slime their counselors, do ropes courses, learn to cook fun dishes, any kind of craft, blob, play in the lake, have a prom, have dances, celebrate the fourth of July, complete personal challenges, conquer their fears, boost their self esteem, etc. and have more fun than anyplace else on the planet.  Each year is themed and there are numerous themed events and activities that are provided.  There are no parents, and any kid can do anything.  It costs Camp Happy Days about $250 dollars to send one child to camp, providing all the services of camp free of charge to our campers. We do this because we know the massive expenses many of our families face, and we want to make sure that money does not keep children from this opportunity.

The week I spend volunteering at camp every summer is something that I look forward to all year.  I've had a countdown going for months now.   It truly is the best week of my year.  As much as I don't love cancer, I love the opportunities it has given me and the people it has placed in my life. As the economy takes a hit, I encourage each of you to give- even five dollars will make a difference.  Just look at these adorable girls and boys...how can ANYONE resist helping them??
