It's that time of the year again. It's time to SHUFFLE!!!  Open up your pawket books and donate whatever you can to a great cause, The North Texas Basset Hound Rescue (NTBHR).

NTBHR is a 501c3 non-profit corporation founded for the purpose of rescuing stray, abandoned or unwanted Basset Hounds; providing medical care and placing them in loving adoptive homes. We also provide education on spaying/neutering and responsible pet ownership.

Last year NTBHR rescued 104 Basset Hounds, including our foster Boudreax (AKA Rumpole). Speaking from first hand experience, rescuing a Basset can be pricey whether it's merely the cost of worm and flea preventative or a more costly heartworm treatment. On average, the cost of veterinary treatment costs about $600 per dog which continues to increase.

With your pleadge, you are helping Addy raise money to help her fellow hound.  Any amount is more than enough to help with this cause that Me, JR, and Addy are all passionate about.

If you're unable to make a tax deductible donation and you have the time and space foster families are always needed. As previous stated 104 Bassets were rescued last year and many more could not be rescued due to lack of foster families.

October 29, 2011 at Chisholm Park in Hurst Bassets from all over will gather to help this pawsome cause. Instead of runing a marathon or 5k the Bassets, in true form, will Shuffle along a path about a mile, or until they find a scent they like. Help Addy stay on track by donating now!!!
