Online Giving for JA's Save a Class Campaign
Due to the state budget impasse, Junior Achievement is in a financial bind and we have been forced to make dramatic adjustments to our operating budget. Unfortunately, we are forced to cut 800 of the 1,800 program requests we currently have. Much to our disappointment, this means that 16,000 students who could have received JA programs will not have an opportunity to do so because of our lack of funding. In a time when financial literacy and work readiness are needed more than ever, this is heartbreaking to us.
In attempt to save as many classes as possible, we are launching a “Save a Class” campaign. We are reaching out to school foundations, PTOs, community supporters, and our volunteers to offer an opportunity to help save a class by contributing $100 to cover the cost of the program materials. While it is doubtful that we will be able to fulfill the requests for all 1,800 programs, with your help, JA will be able to provide as many classes as possible.
Thank you for your support of our efforts!
