NOTE:  The Team Dream ride has been postponed to Spring 2010 due to circumstances beyond our control.  But we're still training, still fundraising, and still committed to killing lung cancer!

Team Dream is a group of friends with the crazy idea to bike across the USA to raise awareness and funds for lung cancer research:  3,415 miles, 10 bikes, 7 weeks, 2 oceans, 1 cure.  Team Dream was founded by Amy and includes Mark, Heather, Mary, Lauren, Marsha, David, Lynn,  Rachel, and Joe.

Our friend was diagnosed with lung cancer in May 2008.  She was the healthiest person we know:  never smoked, ate well, worked out every day like a madwoman, and still came down with this awful disease at the age of 52.  Since May 2008 we've met many other lung cancer patients with similar stories. Our goal is to raise enough money to make a difference.  We're not gonna bike across the country for 75 bucks.  But $100,000 will fund a research grant to make a real difference in lung cancer diagnosis and treatment, and 100% of your donations to Team Dream will go toward this research grant.

So we're rolling--literally.  Team Dream 2009 pushes off from the Pacific Ocean in May 2010 and arrives to dip our tires in the Atlantic roughly 7 weeks later.   During the trip we'll be posting updates and pictures from the road.  All thoughts, prayers, energy, universe shifting, and of course, donations, welcome.
