Welcome to our fund-raising page! We are two moms of children who are on the autism spectrum. We know first hand what life is like living with this disease. A typical day can be filled with wonder, amazement, accomplishment, frustration, disappointment, and anxiety. Being a parent of a child with autism requires you to "kick it up a notch", and search for programs and activities that will really help your child and enrich their lives. The most important thing in life becomes finding programs for your child that will improve their quality of life and give them the opportunities to succeed. When you find a program that can do all of that...you hold on to it and do all you can to make sure it lasts and can help as many families as possible. We have found everything we could possibly need for ourselves and our children in The Grace Foundation.
The Grace Foundation is a non-profit organization established to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
ASD is a term used to describe a variety of neurological disorders which have grown to epidemic proportions in this country. Currently, there are over one million people in the United States with ASD and at present the rate of newly diagnosed children is 1 in 110.
THE GRACE FOUNDATION MISSION
The Grace Foundation is committed to support, educate and enhance the quality of life for children/adults and their families living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Every year, as most families affected by Autism do, we feel a sense of responsibility to raise money for various established Autism foundations. This year, we want to raise money for The Grace Foundation, so they can better sustain programs for children who participate presently and have the ability to expand services to those on the wait list. We must be mindful that while funding may be cut, the needs of the children do not go away The Foundation cannot provide all of the services for families and activities for children without help. Not standing up to help The Grace Foundation survive would be like slamming so many doors of opportunity and hope shut to these young, needy, children who deserve a chance to thrive.
We fully support all of the Autism fund-raisers that are in existence now. We walk for Autism every year with our families and make donations as all of you do too. This year, however, we wanted to raise money specifically for The Grace Foundation. It is a program worth getting involved with for your child and your family. We ask that you give a little of yourself to this foundation so that we can help them make a difference in the lives of children young and old. The money will go directly to the foundation so that it can continue to help families learn, cope, succeed, and look towards the future and know that there is hope for tomorrow...something that we all struggle with.
Thank you so much for your support!!
