Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page for the 2011 Tears Foundation Rock and Walk event.
I am walking again this year on Team Landon Fox for my nephew, Landon Noah Fox, who was born on April 15, 2009, two days following his death. Team Landon Fox was created by my sister, Rachel, and her husband, Evan, last year to honor Landon. The Tears Foundation Rock and Walk event last year was very moving and I am so glad to be able to participate again.
The Tears Foundation is an organization dedicated to providing practical support for families following the death of a baby from 20 weeks gestation up to a year old. Its mission is "...to compassionately lift the financial burden from families who have lost a baby by providing funds to assist with the cost of burial or cremation services." Its members also help by providing emotional support through group meetings. It's an organization that meets very real needs of families who may otherwise have nowhere to turn.
I have seen The Tears Foundation bring Rachel and Evan, and our entire family, hope - hope that other parents won't feel quite so alone, hope that families will be given support during their darkest hours, hope that there can be comfort in the hearts of those who grieve.
The pain of Landon's physical absence will be with us always. The Tears Foundation annual Rock and Walk event allows us the opportunity to gather with others to remember him. We would love it if you would take part in this event with us. By doing so, you are showing your support to families who are still feeling painfully alone, you are contributing to a cause that really makes a difference in people's lives and you are helping us to honor Landon's life.
Whether you join Team Landon Fox, donate to this cause, or simply pass this information along to others who may want to get involved, we thank you for your love and support. If you join our team you may choose to create your own fundraising page. We'd be thrilled to have you as a fundraiser for our team!!
Thank you for remembering Landon Noah Fox, who was born still, but still born.
