Update 8/21:
Bella had a wonderful birthday, fileld wth treats, canned food, and intense scratching! We are nearing the end of August, and I only have $366 left to reach my goal. I will be honest, I did not think that I would get this far in my fundraising campaign for Tree House Humane Society. I just hope that I can pull through for them!

Update 8/15:
I absollutely loved the wonderful cat cards that I recieved for my birthday. What I love even more is spiked increase in doantions. I have two weeks left to raise the rest of my funds. Now is the time to donate! I will update you guys on Bella's birthday!

Update 8/11:
After a hectic and tiring past couple of weeks, I was more than amazed when I saw how the fundraiser more than doubled in one day! I would like to thank my mother, Ari, and her generous and kind team over at AT&T. Their kindness truly spoke to me! We are going to make this difference!
--
Update 8/7:
Bella is currently perched facing away from me, but looking back occasionally. She is upset that I would not pet her at 4 in the morning, when I was sleeping. Drama. Drama. I am going to have to talk to her about her little attitude for the past few days; just because her birthday is coming up does not mean that she has to celebrate the entire month!
We are slowly making it to our goal for Tree House. Please keep on spreading the word and donating!

Update 8/1:
Today is the first day of August, which means that I only have ONE MONTH LEFT to raise the rest of my fundraising goal for Tree House Humane! Please know that ANY little bit helps Tree House out in their efforts to save abandoned animals. It is truly the thought that counts! This is something that I am passionate about, so please help me and the kitties out, even if it is by spreading the word about this via email or Facebook invitation (it seriously only takes ten seconds out of your busy day!).

Update 7/20:
Bella is thouroughly enjoying the fact that I can now open my bedroom window. She can now watch the people in the courtyard below. Back to fundrasing matters, I am more than 10% closer to meeting my goal! YAY! Thanks for all those who have helped so far!
Also, it was brought up to me that some people feel uncomfortable with paying online. If we physically meet throughout the day, you can give me a check or cash, and I will just count it as an offline donation!
Let's keep it strong!

Update 7/17:
My 21st birthday is coming up on 8/12 and Bella's 3rd birthday is coming up on 8/17. Instead of purchasing me a gift and card, please donate to my Tree House page! That is what I truly want for my birthday, some change in this world. Donate now, so that you do not forget! Please spread the word, as well! Thanks!

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I truly appreciate you taking the time to do so! Please consider changing the world today and donating to Tree House Humane Society
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
I am excited to be participating in Tree House Humane Society’s Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat Month Challenge. As part of this challenge, I will be helping Tree House raise $30,000 to help homeless cats. I will also be working hard to raise awareness of the benefits of pet adoption. Both Tree House and pet adoption are causes that are dear to my heart, and I hope you will take the time to read my own pet's, Bella's, rescue story. Please help me by donating (any amount will make a difference!) and by forwarding on this link so that others can read about Bella and my involvement in this important challenge. My goal is to raise $1,000 – please help me reach it.
Thank you so much for supporting me and Tree House!

My life with Bella thus far:
I never was fond of cats, solely for the reason that cats were never fond of me. My crazy ex-roommate forced me to not only get a cat, but to do it under my name. Through all the misery that my ex-roommate put me through, her request was the best thing that had ever happened to me. When I first saw Bella (formerly Vespa), my heart melted. I knew that she was the cat that I needed to adopted.
Before the adoption was finalized, I went over all the new cat owner tips with the caring and genuine staff at Tree House. While a staff member was showing us how to clip Bella's nails, she exclaimed that usually Bella squirmed and scratched throughout the whole process. However, at that particular nail clipping session, Bella was standing still and staring at me. That moment confirmed that I was meant to be her owner, and she was meant to be my cat.
Although we had a rough couple of nights (it took me a couple of days to realize that Bella hates when the fan is on), Bella and I formed a dysfunctional mother-child relationship. I am proud to say that I am "that" person who treats their pet as they would a child. Bella and I have numerous conversations throughout the day, even though she tends to ignore me at times. Every time I go to the store, I think about getting her some toys or cans of food. Sadly to say, Bella lives better than me, as I refuse to get her anything but the best brands of food, shampoo, oral health treats, doctor appointments, bedding (which is now half of my queen bed), toys, scratching posts (we are on five now), and necklaces. Yes, her veterinarian is referred to as a "doctor" and her diamond studded collars are referred to as "necklaces". I was not lying when I said it was dysfunctional.
This relationship is mutual, fortunately. Bella is stuck to my hip when I am home, which is a curse and a blessing. On the more creepy side of things, as I am doing work or homework at my desk, Bella is sitting right next to me, staring. On a better note, the second that she hears me getting into bed for the night, Bella comes out from her hiding place and joins me, and then meows until I pay her attention. The best is how Bella wakes me up in the morning, with her kisses.
To get on with it, Bella and I absolutely love each other. I have heard some individuals mention that cats do not truly form a bond with their owners; however, that is not true, in the least, with Bella. I am forever indebted to Tree House for blessing me with Bella. Now, I want to give something back! Please help me with this, so someone else can be blessed as well.
