The spirit of Christmas is just around the corner and as we think of what to decorate our Christmas trees, what to give our love ones or perhaps planning for a great reunion with our families, let’s pause for a moment to ponder and remember the Reason For The Season, our Lord Jesus Christ.

This Christmas, Jesus wants us to also remember the poor especially in the Philippines who, at this time are still trying desperately to rebuild their lives after a series of calamities that devastated their lives, some of them have lost hope.

This Christmas, why not spread the spirit of Love and Joy by sponsoring a child who is in need of your help? ANCOP together with Couples for Christ, have launched the GIVE LOVE ON CHRISTMAS Campaign. The campaign is aiming to provide education and a future full of hope to children in our ANCOP sponsored USA villages in the Philippines. By sponsoring a child, you will be able to give an early Christmas gift to a needy child for just merely the equivalent of $1/day.

YOU represent the star of hope for the many children who are waiting for sponsorship. Somehow, the joy that you give to others is the joy that comes back to you. With gratitude for your continuous support, we again ask for your generous Christmas gift to these children so that our vision of “Building the church of the Poor” will come into fulfillment.

The angels continue to remind people of faith to “Be not afraid… for nothing is impossible with God.”(Luke 1:30, 37). I am not afraid because of my faith that God will continue to transform what we offer for healing, peace, and justice in the world.

May the spiritual gifts of this season – love, peace, faith and joy – be with you. May the birth that the Spirit longs for both among us and through us come to pass.
