My name is Jan Anderson and I want to thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page! Please take the time to read what I have to say.

Huntington's Disease, also known as HD is a hereditary and degenerative brain disorder that currently does not have a cure. The person eventually becomes completely dependent upon others for his/her care due to their diminishing abilities to talk, walk and reason. This disease is not limited to one particular race or sex; and the children of the individuals have a 50/50 chance of inheriting the disease.

My mother battles this disease at the age of 69 and has been for the past 30 years. Its amazing to see she is still able to smile and show her love. I pray for many more years of that!

I ask of you to please contribute in any way you can to help raise awareness, help with funding for research in finding a cure and help the family members that take care of their loved ones. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts.

Please come out and join us at the Team Hope Walk on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Mt. Trashmore Park, VA Beach, VA. Registration is at 3:00 pm and the walk begins at 4:00 pm.
