Hello family and friends,

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! Once again, we are raising money to support the Flower City Down Syndrome Network. The last two years, our family has participated in the Buddy Walk and with your help we have raised $3,400. We are so grateful for your love and support.

This year the Buddy Walk means more to us than ever because for the first time Alex will be walking along beside us. He started walking at 2 1/2 years old and has been on the go since. Alex turned 3 years old in July; he loved celebrating his birthday and sang along as we wished him a Happy Birthday. Alex has benefited from various therapies the last three years and is ready to transition to preschool in September! 

Alex has made tremendous progress this last year: he signs over 30 words and articulates a dozen or so words, he loves to dance and sing to music, he climbs, throws, runs, he loves dirt and getting messy, and he simply gives the best hugs and kisses...

By helping raise funds for the Buddy Walk, you are not only supporting our many member programs, education and community outreach, you are helping to promote acceptance and inclusion of all people with Down syndrome.

This year's walk is scheduled for Sunday, September 26 at North Ponds Park in Webster, NY. It is free and open to all who wish to show their support.
