On Friday, January 15th, we found out that Jamie had been diagnosed with bladder cancer.  Thanks to the information and support given to us through the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network, we were able to quickly get the care he needed and the support to get through one of the toughest times of our lives.  Now cancer free (and back in running shape!), we look to give back to this wonderful agency so that others can be aware of this disease and progress can be made in research and treatment options. 

Please join us on June 6th to show the community that "Bladder Cancer Pisses Me Off."  We will be creating a team to run/walk in the Bethesda Capital Crescent Trail 5K Run on Sunday June 6th at 7:45 in the morning.  Registation for the race is 10 dollars on race day. 

Join our team in several different ways

1) Come run with us in the Capital Crescent 5K. We appreciate your physical participation in the team.  However, the 10 dollar race entry fee doesn't go to BCAN, so we ask that you also donate towards our fundraising goal by clicking on the "Sponsor Me Now" link at the top of the page. 

2) Can't make it in person?  Click on the "Sponsor Me Now" link above and donate towards our fundraising goal.  We will run with your good wishes. 

A donation of 30 dollars or more will entitle you to your very own "Bladder Cancer Pisses Me Off" race t-shirt.

PLEASE JOIN US AFTER THE RACE AT PARKERS AMERICAN BISTRO, RIGHT NEXT TO THE CRESCENT TRAIL, FOR POST RACE REFUELING AND LIBATIONS! WE WILL PROVIDE SOME FOOD AND PARKERS WILL HAVE THE KITCHEN AND BAR OPEN EARLY FOR US.
