Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Say "Hello" to one of Tree House's newest residents. This sweet little kitten is FIV positive. Essentially, he is infected with the virus for Kitty AIDS. However, thanks to the wonderful people at Tree House, he will be well cared for and well loved and they will do everything they can to find this little one and his two siblings (also FIV positive) loving forever homes.
Kittens like this are just part of the Tree House story. Every cat in Tree House's care is regarded as a unique individual. Each one is cared for and loved by an army of volunteers and staff and every effort is made to take care of every cat that comes into their care as well as matching each one up with the perfect forever home. As one of the first cageless, no-kill shelters in the country, Tree House is a wonderful place for kittens and cats to be until they find themselves their forever home with a loving family.
But like every shelter, Tree House needs help. The cost of giving such loving care to these cats can be high.
On May 19th, I will be running the Rockford Marathon in Rockford, Illinois. I am doing this to raise funds for this wonderful place. Being owned by a bossy Tuxedo cat who is a former stray, this is something that means a lot to me. I know the unconditional love that cats can give and I believe they deserve that love in return. Tree House is a place that is willing to give them that.
I am willing to run 26.2 miles to help support this shelter and these cats. Believe me, a mouse-click to donate a few dollars is no where near as tough. :) Plus, you will be helping many furry free spirits, a lot of wonderful volunteers and staff, and great place that is needed to help these cats and kittens. Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks from Tree House, me, and the kitties for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
