Hey! Thanks for visiting. My name is Andrew and I am a freshman at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. We have a year-long fundraiser here at UNC called UNC Dance Marathon. Dancers stay on their feet, dancing their hearts out for 24 hours in a symbolic "stand" for the UNC Children's Hospital. That is what we are fundraising for. UNC Children's Hospital does NOT turn ANYONE away, but only 10% of its budget is covered by the state. So fundraisers such as this are absolutely VITAL for the continuation of such goodwill.
