March 15^th, 2006 was one of the darkest days I have ever lived through. At 11:24am after an ultra- sound my Dr. asked me "do you know who Lance Armstrong is?" I was 35 years old, I followed the rules of eating right, working out, and staying healthy. Now I had to face Cancer and my wife and I had no idea what to expect. Medically I knew I was going to be ok, but I did not know how to deal with the mental side of the disease. I was having a very hard time and I did not know anyone who had fought testicular cancer and could tell me what to expect both emotionally and physically. 

Fortunately, shortly after I was diagnosed, some friends introduced me to Jonny Imerman of Imerman Angels http://www.imermanangels.org/, a one on one cancer support group. The minute I sat down with Jonny I knew I would be ok. He was able to provide me with the mental support that I needed and help walk me down the road to recovery. He was my “angel.” Jonny said to me during our first meeting together that I will be ok and would even be a better person after I accepted the fact that cancer would always be a part of my life. 

I am asking you to please help me once again give back and show your support. I am running this race ffor not only myself but for Imerman Angles and everyone ever touched with Cancer. WE WILL FIGHT AND WE WILL WIN!!!!

Two and a half years after fighting cancer, my wife Elana and I had a beautiful baby boy named Isaac.  Life could not be better!!!
