It’s that time of year again when the Steppers Romp the only way they know how – for Research.
The Romp for Research is now in its 5th Year. As with previous years all funds raised during this family fun filled afternoon will be for the Down Syndrome Research and Treatment Foundation. DSRTF is a non-profit who fund exciting research being conducted at institutions like Johns Hopkins University and Stanford University. This effort is producing progress in terms of helping science understand how treatments can be developed to improve cognition levels in people born with Down Syndrome.
A 10% improvement in cognition could mean an individual has a choice and opportunity for independent living.
It’s hoped 2010 will see another stellar year for Sophia’s Steppers and this fund raising drive.. All of your contributions have and continue to be greatly appreciated.
Sophia has just turned 6 and has an action packed schedule which this summer has included ballet and tap dance, swimming, cooking classes and even a two week soccer camp. She continues to grow and blossom balancing charm with devilish fun (often at brother Ben’s expense).
We’re inviting you to join Sophia and her Steppers on Oct 3rd at Asphalt Green on the Upper East side of Manhattan for the Romp for Research event. We thank you for your support in previous years and for your continued support of this excellent cause!
