As a family our 1st dog was Holly. She was an American Pitbull Terrier. How we came to own her was a "heard it before" kind of story. She was 5-6 weeks old and some kids came knocking on our door and said shes for sale you want to it? My husband jewed the price down to $35 dollars and brought her in. I came home and there was this beautiful brown/black masked puppy peaking at me over a pillow! I run up and scooped her up and she BITE me! We soon learned the kids were roughing her up and picking at her to make her mean and for a little while that was how she was. A lot of socialization, training and time and within the 1st year SHE WAS THE BEST DOG EVER! she was our kids shadows and went everywhere we went. She LOVED everyone and EVERYTHING she came in contact with! We loved her for 11 yrs and Sept.17,2011 we had to send her over the Rainbow Bridge. Not a day goes by that we don't think of her or talk about her. My most memorable family stories start with " Let me tell you about the time Holly and the Kids......"
