Thanks to you,
our most generous and wonderful supporters, we've reached our goal!
ALF would like to express our sincere gratitude
to each and every one of you,
for opening your hearts to the homeless animals
and supporting us in our mission to
Spare The Alley Cats & Strike Out Overpopulation!
August 7, we'll participate in the 8th Annual PACC911 Bowl-a-Rama for Animal Rescue.
Help Stop the Littering!
So far this year, 63 cats have been spayed/neutered, 17 have been placed for adoption, 8 dogs have been rescued, and 5 cats have been treated for illness and injury. We feed an average of 450 lbs of food every month. That all adds up to expenses of more than $6000 so far in 2010! Can you spare a donation to the kitty, to help us continue helping the homeless animals in need?
Our only means of generating revenue
for operating costs
is through generous donations from you.
Bowl-a-rama is the largest fundraiser for the local rescue community, funding the critically important Emergency Medical Fund, which enables ALF to assist injured animals such as Willow (hit by car, paraplegic and incontinent, semi-feral - every life matters!), Pirate (injured eye that ruptured, feral), and Cassidy (hit by car, deformed leg and tail, feral). See our Special Needs page for their stories.
Most of the animals that we help literally come from the streets, homeless or abandoned, suffering in some way. We do whatever is needed to rehabilitate each one. Treatment costs can easily reach several hundred dollars for a single animal. We've rescued them from the desert, dumped in the garbage in city parks, from storm drains and irrigation ditches, in attics and between walls, left in boxes on a busy intersection, among the debris in vacant houses, from the crawl space under commercial buildings - you name it, Animal Loving Friends has probably done it.
Fewer people are donating, yet more animals are losing their homes.
The burden on the animal welfare community has been immense,
with no end in sight.
The need is greater than ever before!
An astonishing 350,000 cats are homeless in our County. Help us to stop the breeding for as many as we can!
At $20 per cat, we can sterlize another 75 of them with your help - and stop the littering! Imagine what we could do with double or even triple that amount! Every little bit helps, so ask everyone you know to give to this very worthy cause.
Please give as generously as you can to help us help those who have been left behind.
Your donation is tax-deductible!
Donations can be made online, or you can just stick cash or a check in an envelope and send it to the address at the bottom of this page. Every dollar helps us reach a strike, helps save countless lives, and gives you an incredible feel good experience!
