Pirate's Fundraising Page from ALF
Meet Pirate, a feral cat found with a horrible eye injury. We caught him and got him to the vet right away. His eye was large and black and had begun to prolapse and rupture. The vet couldn't save it, so the eye was removed, and he was neutered. She felt that he had suffered a blow to the head, but there were no other injuries evident. Since there are some dairy farms in the area, we think he may have been kicked by a cow.
Pirate is recovering from his ordeal with lots of yummy food, antibiotics, and pain medication. He had a little bit of infection on the incision, so he's had to visit the vet a second time. He's a beautiful, otherwise healthy, orange tabby cat. We wanted to spare you the graphic pictures. He's a much more handsome guy with just one eye! Once he's completely healthy, he'll be released, and he should get along just fine.
If you'd like to help with Pirate's vet expenses, you may make a tax-deductible donation by clicking the Give Now button at the top of this page.
