Why I Walk
I have the most amazing job. I get to help kids do things that most people take for granted, but are a big deal if you can’t do them!
For kids with sensory processing problems, the world feels like a dangerous place all the time. Being able to tolerate various textures of food in your mouth or being able to take a shower without screaming is a big deal!
For kids with physical problems, movement is hard. Being able to feed yourself with a spoon or being able to get dressed by yourself is a big deal!
For kids who are struggling in school, life is frustrating. Being able hold your pencil better or make letters that your teacher can read is a big deal!
What is truly amazing about the Kids Center is we see kids whether the family can afford therapy or not!
