NLG and Team Dahlin paddle for Autism!
Team Dahlin is paddling for Autism!
Captain Thomas Feller and rowers Josh, Angie and Tyler Dahlin need your help raise funds for autism awareness in support of Nashoba Learning Group. We're taking on the 2009 Adirondack Canoe Classic (otherwise known as the “90-miler”). We're racing September 11 - 13 2009. The race takes place in the Adirondack National Park, beginning in Old Forge NY and ending 90 miles later in the Village of Saranac Lake. Paddlers in canoes, kayaks and guide boats will enter the race on Old Forge Pond with fellow paddlers to row and family and crew to follow in cars. Day 1: We'll paddle through the Fulton chain of lakes, on to Raquette Lake to finish in Blue Mountain Lake for a total of thirty five miles. Day 2: A challenging row of 30 miles down Long Lake and up the Raquette River. Day 3: will include 25 miles on Saranac Lake up to the state locks and into the Saranac River. The finish line is located in the Village of Saranac Lake. The event will be host to over two hundred and fifty boats with people from all over the world looking to gather the sights and sounds of the magnificent Adirondack National Forest.
Team Dahlin would like to dedicate this race in memory of their grandparents Norma and Russell Dahlin whose lifelong work was dedicated to supporting others less fortunate. With your help we can go the distance!
