It's hard to believe it's been a year since my sister, Trish lost her 7 year battle with Metaplastic Carcinoma. As we attempt to adjust to our world without her, celebrating births, weddings, and graduations, we continue to support programs that help other families that are facing a cancer diagnosis.                                          A young mother takes her 3 year old son to the pediatrician for a bad cold, only to learn he must go through a 3 year treatment regiment for Leukemia. A family member, who lost her sister to Lymphoma in 2003, has to say good-bye this past February to her dearest friend of 30 years . Everyone knows someone whose life has been affected by cancer..

Last year we had a team consisting of 9 members of the "Eberhart Family Tree" , raising contributions totaling nearly $1,500 . It was a great experience, even though my husband and daughter had to take turns pushing my wheelchair! The campus at Goucher is beautiful and the event was very well planned with lots of venders offering refreshments and wellness related information, speakers, and awards! My family will once again have to push me in my wheelchair so I can be a part of the excitement and share the mood of the other participants. (I have limited mobility due to Neurofibromatosis) That's another whole story! Sooo, if you can join us in this effort, it will enable cancer patients  and their families to have access to resources that may not otherwise be offered to them. I encourage you to consider helping us reach our goals to fullfill the MISSION of HOPEWELL CANCER SUPPORT, to ,create a community for all people with cancer, their families, and their friends. Please pray about being a part of the HOPE!
