Anna Rahal's Fundraising Page I am the Pastry Chef at the Chatham Club and honored to be back as the reigning 2010 "Best overall Baker" to support Ronald McDonald House Charities by participating again in the Battle of the Bakers 2011.This year I will be making: -Flourless Chocolate Cake with Feuilletine, Cardamom Anglaise, Candied Walnuts and Cherries. -Quatrechocolate Confections, Semi-Sweet Couverture with Caramel and Himalayan salt, Dark Couverture and Pecan dusted Butter-Crunch Toffee, White Couverture with Brandied Cherries and Pop Rocks, Dark Couverture covered Bacon. Thank you so much for supporting me and this worthy cause. My goal is to raise as much money for this great cause . If you could see your way to sponsor a family for 1 or 2 nights it will be an enormous help and encouragement. The event's prize sponsor, Kitchenware Outfitters, will be giving a $25 gift certificate to every donor who contributes $65 or more to my page between now and the competition. (Certificates will be mailed to you.) The Savannah Ronald McDonald House provides comfort and a place to stay for parents with critically ill or injured children. Their 10-bedroom House offers all the qualities of home--beds, showers, laundry room, and a home-cooked meal prepared each night by community volunteers with their Adopt A Meal program. Raising funds makes it possible for families to stay regardless of their financial situation with their Share A Night program. The House operates at nearly 100% occupancy, 365 days a year. It costs RMHC $65 per day to provide its brand of hospitality for each family.
