In February 2012, I will be joining Habitat for Humanity East Bay on a trip to Usulutan, El Salvador. Working alongside El Salvadoran families and Habitat for Humanity El Salvador, our team will build simple, decent, affordable homes. After working in the Oakland office of Habitat for Humanity East Bay for the past year as an AmeriCorps member, I am excited to get out of the office, brush up on my Spanish and travel to see Habitat's work abroad in action!

Each team member is responsible to fundraise $1,280 to contribute to the cost of the trip. This includes lodging, food, and a donation to Habitat El Salvador for building supplies. I need to raise this amount by January 7, 2012 and am asking for your support.

Your contribution will directly benefit the families we'll be serving by providing the building blocks for their new homes. It also happens to be a great way to celebrate the upcoming holidays including my 24th birthday in January!
