Caps for a Cure at Kosair Children's Hospital
Hello! My friends and I are raising funds and awareness to assist the families who have children in the cancer care and renal center at Kosair Children's Hospital.
Our idea is to encourage people to create their own "caps for a cure" week at their school. Students wear hats to school to raise awareness because it is very common for people with cancer to wear a hat during their treatments. Students can decorate their hat however they like! We just ask that each participant try to raise $10 to support the programs at Kosair Children's Hospital.
Through the Kids for Kids program, students get to be involved in community activities that benefit our children’s hospital.
More than 109,000 children come to Kosair Children’s Hospital each year for specialized care to treat virtually every medical condition. The hospital and its services give kids the chance to live long, healthy lives. No child is ever turned away because of his or her family’s inability to pay.
Each participant has set a goal to raise $10 and tell 10 people why they are wearing their hat. If we can get just 100 people to reach their goal we will hit our goal of $1000! We will provide over 1,000 people with information about cancer to raise awareness! I ask you to consider making a gift to help me achieve this goal. I want this year to be a tremendous success and we need your help to achieve it. I will gratefully accept any donation you are able to make, big or small. All donations are tax-deductible and you will receive letter with the hospital’s tax id number within one month of donating to my page.
Many thanks for your support-- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
