Junior Achievement ("JA") is the world’s oldest and largest organization dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy, and providing them with the skills necessary to be successful in school, in the workplace, and in life.

JA's events support the continuation and expansion of the JA educational programs in local schools. Funding provides materials to the classes as well as program services, including recruitment, training, and support of the volunteers. This year I had the privilege of participating in a JA event at a local school teaching a 5th grade class about national economies. In simplified ways, reinforced by hands-on activities and games, I helped them learn how the various economies function together across the globe. Needless to say, the impact of these "JA days" will reach very far in their development and growth -- it was truly a rewarding experience.

Locally, Junior Achievement has reached over 260,000 students in the Hudson Valley area since 1973. With your support and fundraising efforts, thousands more will benefit from the JA experience!

Last year you all helped me raise over $1,200 for this worthy cause as a part of the annual PepsiCo Bowl for Kids fundraising event -- I am hoping to exceed last year's results! Please help me do that by contributing to my FirstGiving web page.
